The purpose at Mending Mama is to create a community that fosters spiritual growth and emotional healing for mothers facing the challenges of estrangement and dealing with prodigal children. Through the carefully curated resources and supportive network, we aim to empower mothers to embrace their spiritual journey and find strength in their faith and inner resilience.
I am dedicated to promoting God's Word and prayer as a strong foundation and am in agreement that formal therapy with a Christian counselor is encouraged, when recommended by those who love you, in order to support mental health and physical well-being. You deserve to be the best version of you!

Tracy Satterly
Mama, Nana, Wife & Author
Tracy was raised in a loving home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She married her high school sweetheart in June of 1985, and by 1994 had 4 beautiful children. Three Navy duty stations moved the young family around until Tracy's husband answered a call to ministry as a pastor. They served together for the next 25 years, until her husband's unexpected passing. Four years later, all 3 of Tracy's sons walked out of her life. They insisted on no contact and she has not seen them, or her 5 grandchildren, since.
In 2021, Tracy met and married her "next chapter sweetheart". Doug became her steady strength and provided the encouragement to write down the faithfulness of God through her valley of estrangement.
Today Tracy enjoys the sweet relationship with her daughter and son-in-law and their 4 girls. She has also been blessed with an incredible step son and new daughter-in-law, who will welcome their first precious little girl in May!
And where would she be without her 2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Roger & Ruby!
